Note: Please be aware that the space clearing begins the moment you set the intention and pick up the phone to schedule a date. You may notice shifts already taking place. These notes will help support this work. Please read them carefully:
Before the Session
- Space clearing sheds light on whatever is ready to be released or embraced. The success of the consultation is directly proportional to your willingness to be honest, look at, and take responsibility for any suppressed “stuff” that might naturally arise to be cleared. The more you accept and allow your feelings to surface — without judging or taking them personally — the more clarity and freedom you are likely to experience.
- If you live with a family member, partner, or housemate who owns or rents the space with you as an equal partner, s/he needs to know about the space clearing. They do not need to be present for the consultation nor do they need to “buy” the concept of space clearing, but they need to give their permission.
- Try to clear as much clutter as you can. You don’t have to be obsessive about it. The very act of doing so gives the subconscious a message that what is about to take place is important. Clearing clutter is a first step forward in the process.
- Be certain that the date we have chosen does not precede a vacation or a lengthy period of travel. The reason for this is that you don’t get to enjoy and experience the shifts as easily and you don’t integrate as well if you are away. The same applies to home remodeling or construction projects that may be going on at the time of the clearing. If this applies to you, please contact me to reschedule your session.
- In order for me to hold the energy in your home, I need to be in top form. If I feel ill on the day of (or prior to) the consultation, we will need to reschedule. I will give you as much advanced warning as I can. Similarly, if the weather is such that makes it hard for me to reach you, we will need to reschedule the consultation.
- Cancellation policy: Please give me at least 24 hours notice if you need to postpone for any reason. For cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, I will bill for one hour of my time.
- Please consider writing and reflecting on the following “questions” before the space clearing to deepen your experience of this work. Consider this a dialogue with yourself that you enter into with total curiosity:
- What are some of the challenges you are experiencing in your home, work, and/or life right now that prompted you to request a space clearing?
- What would your life look and feel like if you could have it just the way you wanted?
- Describe any resistances that surface as you reflect on your hopes or deepest yearnings.
- What specifically do you hope might happen as a result of the space clearing?
- The first three questions are to be contemplated and explored and lived. They cannot be answered in a sentence nor should they be. The idea is to enter in dialogue with yourself with total curiosity. The intent of the exercise is to help you deepen your experience of the space clearing: to focus on the greater forces at work here, to align yourself consciously with your higher purpose, and to clear away any fears or holding patterns that can block the flow of new energy coming into your home and life.
- The fourth question is meant to clarify your intentions for the clearing. After summarizing your hopes, the secret lies in LETTING THEM GO. For that reason we suggest that when you email me your intentions you imagine releasing all attachment to the outcome the moment you click the “send” button.
- If possible, please place a small bouquet of flowers, a beautiful cloth, and/or something meaningful on a clear tabletop or counter. These items can set a wonderful tone for the clearing and make you and your home feel nourished and honored.
- Consider having your young children cared for off the premises during the consultation, especially if you feel that having them there would distract you from being fully present. Switch off computers, home phones, answering machines, and cell phones for the same reasons.
- Pay attention to how your body processes the information that comes up during the clearing. Plan to drink plenty of water and feel free to eat or take breaks if you need to. Honor your needs.
- Important: Please remember to have an open mind; to accept and allow. Try not to judge changes as “good” or “bad,” “better” or “worse.” In the greater scheme, space clearing is about releasing deep holding patterns in our homes and lives, and raising our conscious awareness. Unlike the ego part of us that is attached to our comfort and things being a certain way, the soul doesn’t care if it’s easy, looks good, or we’re comfortable. It is part of the soul’s evolutionary journey to give us exactly what we need to grow. By letting go of your attachment to the outcome, you create powerful openings that can allow events in your life to surpass even your wildest imaginings!
- Integration:If you can, take the day off or allow some time for yourself (selves) immediately following the space clearing to integrate the new energies in your home. Stay at home as much as possible the first day or two. Practice extreme self-care: a nice hot sea salt/soda bath, a good protein meal, quiet time… Tune in to what you need and do whatever feels appropriate in the days following.
- Every one in your household should be drinking large quantities of good water. Significant energetic shifts can be very dehydrating.
- Pay attention to everything that happens— significant and seemingly insignificant occurrences such as: synchronicities, energy shifts, day dreams, night dreams, activated sense of smell (taste, sight, touch, hearing, intuition), health changes, sleep patterns, breathing patterns, holding patterns, food and drink cravings, weight loss/gain, new relationships, communication improvements or breakdowns, clutter clearing, new habits, reactions from children or pets, signs from the Universe, etc. If you can, jot down any highlights in a notebook each day to help you keep track of the shifts that may be taking place in your home and life. We often forget what life was like before the clearing work.
- If for any reason you feel jangled and out of balance for an extended period of time, please email me. Additional personal clearings can help mitigate any extreme side-effects of energy shifts on the system. Personal clearings are conducted via phone or Skype and do not require further home visits. For additional remote personal clearings my fee is the same as a “follow-up personal clearing.”
