Heart Soup“For fast-acting relief, try slowing down.”–Lilly Tomlin

As many of you know, my newest book just came out.

You could say that A Year to Clear is to clearing what the slow food movement is to eating. It invites a conscious, nourishing, and sustainable shift in the way we live our lives.

If you’ve wondered why anyone would want to take “slow long” to clear things and thoughts that weigh us down (and keep us stuck), consider that stress and stuff doesn’t grow overnight. It builds up slowly over a lifetime. Releasing it takes time: time to soften resistances (that are deeply encoded in our physical, mental, and emotional attachments); time to rewire the brain that goes into fight-or-flight; time to grow new habits that feel really good and create lasting change.

Taking one year to slowly and gently tend to our lives (and discover the spacious goodies that are hiding beneath them all) is beyond measure.

There is no question, the benefits of taking one minute to support and nourish ourselves, consciously and daily is powerful stuff!
